Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Geoscience

About the role

The Faculty of Science is seeking an outstanding academic to join the School of Earth, Atmosphere and Environment to strengthen geoscience research and education. The Lecturer / Senior Lecturer will develop excellence in research and education in any sub-discipline of geoscience.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative perspectives and new research directions in geoscience.
• Integrate detailed field observations with quantitative and/or analytical approaches to investigate physical and/or geochemical processes in various geological settings.
• Translate research skills into highly quality teaching.

Requirements

• PhD in Geoscience or a closely related field.
• Proven track record of research excellence.
• Experience in teaching and supervising students.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Geoscience or a closely related field.
• Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
• Experience in teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay

• $123,138 - $146,228 pa for Lecturer
• $150,841 - $173,931 pa for Senior Lecturer
