Lecturer Pool - Management Information Systems (MIS) AY 2026/27
The Department of Management Information Systems at California State University San Marcos accepts applications on an ongoing basis for our pool of part-time lecturers. Applicant pools are used to fill short-term temporary Lecturer positions across our campus with the possibility of rehiring. Appointments may last from one day to a whole semester. This applicant pool may be used to fill vacant positions on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year. Applications in this pool are only good for the current academic year. This pool will be closed effective May 31st. If you wish to be considered for the next academic year, you will need to apply to the new pool as it becomes available by June 15th.
About the Role
This position is a part-time lecturer for the Academic Year 2026/2027. The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in Management Information Systems
- Develop and maintain course materials
- Participate in departmental meetings and activities
- Maintain regular office hours
- Assist in curriculum development and assessment
Requirements
- A master's degree in business or a related discipline
- Industry experience in a finance-related position
Preferred Qualifications
- A doctorate degree or equivalent
- Previous teaching experience
- Demonstrate intercultural competence and a commitment to serving the campus community
Salary
Salary commensurate with degree level and experience. Anticipated hiring salary range: $5,507 - $6,677 per full-time month.
