About the Role
The Department of Management Information Systems in the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University is accepting applications for their part-time lecturer pool. Temporary appointments may be either full- or part-time and are often made just prior to the start of the academic term, requiring availability on very short notice.
Opportunities exist for teaching during the Fall term (mid-August to late-December), Spring term (mid-January to mid-May), and Summer Sessions. Initial appointments are typically one semester or one academic year, renewed contingent on satisfactory evaluations and continuing availability of work. Applications remain active in the pool for the academic year in which they are submitted.

Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science/Statistics, or Supply Chain Management
- University teaching experience

Pay
Initial rank and salary are based on professional experience and educational background. As of July 2024, the classification salary ranges are:
- Lecturer A: $5,507 - $6,677
- Lecturer B: $6,221 - $13,224
- Lecturer C: $6,825 - $14,523
- Lecturer D: $8,593 - $15,211
Most new appointees are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank and placed at the beginning of the range.
