Lecturer-Pool Faculty of Environmental and Geosciences- up to 2 positions to be filled
About the role
Lecturer-Pool faculty are term positions hired to teach one to four courses per semester. Course requirements may include a combination of teaching on-campus classes at the main campus in Huntsville and online classes, depending on the needs of the academic department.
Responsibilities
- Teach one to four courses per semester
- Teach on-campus classes at the main campus in Huntsville and online classes as needed
- Teach a combination of lower-level and upper-level courses based on student demand and departmental needs
Requirements
- Minimum of a Master's degree in a related field for lower-level course offerings
- PhD in upper-level courses preferred
- Experience in GIS/remote sensing, Environmental Science applications, Weather and climate, and conservation on a 4000 level
Qualifications
- Teaching experience preferred
Skills
- Strong knowledge of GIS/remote sensing
- Experience with Environmental Science applications
- Understanding of Weather and climate
- Knowledge of conservation principles
