Lecturer - PH 407: Research Methods in Public Health (Fall 2026)
California State University San Marcos, Department of Public Health is seeking a part-time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach PH 407 - Research Methods in Public Health, a 3-unit in-person course held Monday and Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.

Responsibilities
- Teach PH 407 - Research Methods in Public Health
- Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with core faculty and colleagues on an ethnically and culturally diverse campus
Requirements
- Earned Master of Public Health (MPH) or Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH)
- Relevant experience working with college-level students or teaching in an institution of higher learning
- Ability to work in the State of California (per CSU’s Out-of-State Employment Policy)
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Public Health or a closely related field (e.g., PhD, MD, DrPH, ScD, JD)
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and ability to communicate with culturally diverse groups of students
- Intercultural competence and a commitment to serving the campus community in teaching and service
Pay
Anticipated hiring salary range: $5,836 - $6,240 per full-time month. Salary is commensurate with degree level and experience, generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range.
- Lecturer A - AY: $5,507 – $6,677 per full-time month
- Lecturer B - AY: $6,221 – $13,224 per full-time month
