About the role

Responsibilities
- Develop and continuously refine a teaching philosophy that inspires student learning.
- Design and deliver classes, assess student learning achievements, and provide support in postgraduate and undergraduate courses in statistics and research methods.
- Initiate and implement innovative teaching methods and resources, including the use of educational technologies and online delivery.
- Maintain and enhance professional development in pedagogy, disciplinary knowledge, and accreditation requirements.
- Participate in school and faculty meetings, seminars, and committees.
- Conduct research in psychology in collaboration with senior colleagues, design research projects, and secure competitive funding.
- Mentor and guide students and colleagues, contributing to the development of future academics.
Requirements
- A PhD in a related discipline.
- Proven commitment to staying updated with discipline knowledge and developments.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development, and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence.
- Experience with industry or work-integrated learning (desirable).
- Ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Track record of high-quality and impactful research with a desire and capacity for research leadership.
- High-level communication skills and networking abilities.
- Teamwork, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
- Understanding of and commitment to UNSW's aims, objectives, and values.
Qualifications
- PhD in a related discipline.
- Proven commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Experience in teaching statistics and research methods at various levels.
- Experience with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
- Strong track record in research with high-quality and impactful outcomes.
- Experience in industry or work-integrated learning.
- Ability to recruit and supervise high-caliber students.
- Experience in attracting funding for learning and teaching initiatives.

Pay
- Level B: $127k - $150k / Level C: $155k – 178k plus 17% Superannuation and annual leave loading
