About the role
The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Penn State Behrend invites applicants for a non-tenure-line faculty position starting in Spring 2026 or Fall 2026. The successful candidate will be committed to excellence in undergraduate education, with activity in research. This ideal candidate will be able to teach courses in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department which supports three programs: electrical engineering, computer engineering, and electrical and computer engineering technology.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department which supports three programs: electrical engineering, computer engineering, and electrical and computer engineering technology.
- Teaching interests should align in one or more of the following areas: electric circuits, electromagnetics, power, energy and batteries, automation, PLCs, digital signal processing, embedded systems, microprocessors, VLSI and electrical and/or computer engineering laboratories.
Requirements
- A Masters or Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field is required by the appointment start date.
- After an initial two-year appointment, the position is renewable, contingent upon enrollment demands, job performance, and/or availability of funding.
