About the role
The Lecturer will both teach and develop new curricula in the areas of cybersecurity and data science. The successful candidate will teach three courses per semester (fall and spring) while also working on development of new courses, programs, and curricula in this area.
Responsibilities
- Teach three courses per semester (fall and spring)
- Work on development of new courses, programs, and curricula in cybersecurity and data science
- Teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Engage in service to the profession and shared governance within the university
- Participate actively in the life of the college
Requirements
- Highly competent, energetic, collegial, and flexible
- Experience teaching in cybersecurity and data science areas
- Ability to develop new curricula and courses
Qualifications
- PhD in Information Science, Computer Science, or related field
- Strong background in cybersecurity and data science
- Experience teaching at the university level
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
