Located in the fastest-growing region of the state, the University of North Georgia (UNG) is a multi-campus university with an enrollment of over 20,000 students. UNG is focused on a mission of educational excellence, leadership development, and community engagement opportunities that develop students into leaders for a diverse and global society.

About the role

The Department of Marketing and Logistics in the Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB) invites applicants for the position of Lecturer of Marketing beginning with the spring 2027 semester. The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate courses such as Principles and Marketing Management on multiple UNG campuses. There may be opportunities to teach at the graduate level.

Any offer of employment is contingent upon eligibility to work in the United States. The university is aware of recent federal changes that may significantly increase the cost of filing H-1B visa petitions. As a public institution, the university's ability to cover such costs is subject to budgetary constraints and state funding policies. While UNG remains committed to supporting international faculty hires, it cannot guarantee payment of any newly imposed or increased visa-related fees.

  • Participate as an active contributing member in the service activities of the college.

Requirements

  • An earned master's degree in an area with a primary focus on Marketing, with at least eighteen graduate hours in marketing or related areas, preferably from an AACSB-accredited institution, is required at the time of hire.
  • Recent substantive and significant experience in teaching and/or industry relevant to Marketing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Record of excellent teaching and practice in the area of Marketing.
  • Commitment to business education.

Skills

  • Knowledge of teaching and learning practices.
  • Knowledge of theoretical and applied concepts in Marketing.
  • Knowledge of concepts and Marketing plans.
  • Ability to demonstrate best practices of written and oral business communication.
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
  • Passion for working with students to develop their skills and expertise.

If you received any graduate degrees from an institution outside the United States, you must provide a foreign course-by-course credential evaluation by an independent evaluation service that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES).
