About the role
The Richard J. Bolte, Sr. School of Business at Mount St. Mary’s University invites applications for a full-time Visiting Professor of Marketing position beginning August 2027. This is a one-year position with the possibility of one-year renewals.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Teach 24 credits (8 classes) between the Fall and Spring semesters, including a combination of undergraduate and graduate courses in finance.
- Deliver undergraduate courses primarily in person and during the day with some evening options, and graduate courses using on-line synchronous and asynchronous formats.
- Serve as the primary contact for student recruitment and advising for the marketing concentration and minor.
- Prepare for 5-6 different course offerings.
- Support the Mount by advising students majoring in the school's programs, developing course curriculum, participating in assessment, remaining current in their discipline, and performing other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Education, Experience and Skills:
- Qualifications Required: Ph.D. or Graduate degree in Marketing or a related discipline. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence.
- Preferred: Professional or industry experience in the field, prior university-level teaching experience, and evidence of scholarly engagement and professional development.
Salary Range
$70,000 – $80,000, depending on rank assigned.
