About the role

The Isle of Wight College is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Lecturer in Esports and Digital to join their expanding Business and Digital Industries team. They are looking for someone who has a strong understanding of both subject areas, and a passion for creating outstanding learning experiences that prepare students for higher education, apprenticeships and employment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and assess high-quality learning that combines practical, academic and industry-relevant skills.
  • Encourage students to become confident, independent learners while helping them develop the professional behaviours, teamwork and resilience that employers value.
  • Help shape and grow the provision, delivering engaging teaching across Level 2 and Level 3 Esports and Level 1 and Level 2 Digital programmes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree or equivalent qualification in a related field, along with experience in teaching and/or working in the Esports and Digital sectors.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices.

Pay

£21,086.62 - £25,029.47 per annum, depending on experience.

Schedule

26 hours per week.
