Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses in the HCI and Informatics undergraduate and graduate programs
- Develop courses for the traditional classroom setting, computer labs and for online education
- Help set program and specialization goals
- Develop and continually update the curriculum and training activities
- Contribute to the recruitment and marketing of the program
- Interview, evaluate, and advise students
- Engage in scholarly activity
- Serve on SoIC, departmental, and programs committees
- Maintain current knowledge and skillset in the HCI profession through active participation in professional organizations, collaboration, practice, and research
- Serve on professional committees
Requirements
- PhD in Human-Computer Interaction or related field
- Experience teaching in higher education
- Strong commitment to teaching and student success
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
Qualifications
- Research experience in Human-Computer Interaction
- Experience with educational technology and online learning
- Interest in interdisciplinary research and collaboration
Skills
