About the role
The Department of Human-Centered Computing at Indiana University’s Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering at Indianapolis invites applicants for a Lecturer appointment in the online Human-Computer Interaction Program. Exceptional instructors are being sought to join our fast-growing department.
Responsibilities
- Teaching online courses in the Human-Computer Interaction Program
- Developing courses
- Help set program goals
- Develop and continually update the curriculum and training activities
- Contribute to the recruitment and marketing of the program
- Interview, evaluate, and advise students
- Engage in scholarly activity
- Serve as a member of the school and departmental committees
- Maintain current knowledge in the field through active participation in professional organizations, collaboration, practice, and research
- Serve on professional committees
Requirements
The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Psychology, or a related field, and a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring students in an online environment. Experience with online course development and delivery is preferred.

Benefits
This is a teaching-focused faculty position with the potential for remote, in-person, or hybrid-based employment.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
The appointment will begin August 1, 2024, and the expected teaching load is 9-12 credit hours per semester.
