Description

The St. Bonaventure University School of Business invites applications for a position in Business Law at the Lecturer level. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to quality teaching, service to the department and university, and leadership potential.

Examples of Duties

• Teach courses in accordance with the schedule of classes and following the approved course descriptions and curricular guidelines established by the Faculty and approved by the Dean and the Provost.
• Engage in non-teaching assignments such as instructional development, academic advising, assisting students, participating in Departmental and University-wide activities, serving on committees and task forces, and other appropriate responsibilities as described in the Faculty Status and Welfare Handbook.

SCHEDULE

This is an appointed faculty position as governed by the Faculty Status and Welfare Handbook. Days, occasional evening or weekend hours as required.

Typical Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school required
• Ability to teach online classes would be expected. In addition to business law and legal environment classes, you would also be teaching business ethics (both in traditional and online modes).
