About the role
The Martin V. Smith School of Business & Economics at California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI) seeks applications for temporary faculty to prepare and teach multiple sections of a Business Communication course at the undergraduate level in the 2024-2025 academic year.
Responsibilities
- Teach one or more classes as assigned and as student demand allows.
- Conduct and turn in assessment activities as outlined each semester.
Requirements
- Minimum Degree Requirements: Masters degree with a focus in Business, Communication, or a related discipline.
- Required Qualifications: Demonstrated preparation for teaching Business Communication at a university level; commitment to effectively work with and engage a diverse student population and evidence of how they would successfully mentor minoritized students with special focus on Latinx, Black/African American, American Indian, and Asian/Asian American/Pacific Islander students.
Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in Business, Communication, or in a related discipline; 5+ years full-time work experience; Work/consulting experience in private or public sector related to Business Communications; A record of effective teaching.
