About the role
The Department of Biological Sciences at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach BIOL 215: Experimental Design and Statistical Analysis.
Responsibilities
- Design and analysis of biological surveys and experiments
- Hypothesis formation, experimental design, statistical analysis, presentation of results
- Hands-on experience in design and analysis of biological experiments
Requirements
- A master’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Biological Sciences or related fields
- The California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy prohibits hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California
Qualifications
- A doctorate or equivalent in Biological Sciences, and related fields
- Experience teaching similar courses in 4-year universities
- Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate intercultural competence and a commitment to serving the campus community
Skills
- Interdisciplinary knowledge in Biological Sciences
- Ability to teach complex statistical concepts
- Effective communication skills
Benefits
Salary commensurate with degree level and experience.
Pay
Anticipated hiring salary range: $5,507 - $6,008 per full-time month
Schedule
Tuesdays & Thursdays from 7:00 p.m. to 8:50 p.m.
