Job Description

Within this dynamic environment, the Department of Neuroscience in the College of Medicine, which is the second-oldest neuroscience departments in the nation, offers a strong foundation of innovation and leadership in education. The department is home to two rapidly expanding online programs, including the first and only fully online Master of Science in Neuroscience in the United States, as well as a Graduate Online Certificate Program. With enrollment exceeding hundreds of students and continuing to grow, these programs present a significant opportunity for a Lecturer to contribute to and help shape a highly marketable, scalable, and nationally distinctive educational portfolio.

Opportunity

We are seeking a full-time Lecturer to support and expand our rapidly growing online neuroscience programs. The anticipated start date is August 16, 2026, though an earlier start may be negotiable. The ideal candidate will have broad training in the neurosciences and a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching didactic courses. In addition to contributing to existing required coursework, the Lecturer will be expected to develop new elective offerings that enhance the breadth, flexibility, and marketability of the curriculum.

Primary Duties

  • Contribute to existing required coursework
  • Develop new elective offerings
  • Involvement in service at the department, college, and university levels

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Neuroscience, Psychology, or a related field
  • Demonstrated record of excellence in teaching didactic courses
