About the role
As a Leave of Absence Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing and facilitating various types of leave programs for employees within our organization. You will ensure compliance with company policies and relevant employment laws, assist employees throughout the leave process, and maintain accurate records. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of leave regulations.

Pay
Starting hourly range between $24.00-$28.00. Final compensation offered will be within this pay range based on qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and administer all aspects of employee leaves, including medical leaves, family and medical leave, personal leaves, military leave, ADA accommodations, and other types of requested time off.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation and processing of leave requests, maintaining confidentiality and privacy of sensitive information.
- Stay informed and up-to-date on federal, state, and local leave regulations, ensuring the organization's policies align with current legal requirements.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on leave policies and procedures.
- Serve as the main point of contact for employees seeking information on leave policies, procedures, and eligibility.
- Work effectively with vendors and state programs who support various leave programs, such as Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, and Paid Family Leave.
- Communicate effectively with employees, managers, and other relevant parties regarding the status of leave requests, required documentation, and return-to-work processes.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all leave requests, approvals, and related documentation.
- Generate and analyze reports to monitor leave usage, trends, and compliance.
- Collaborate with Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination and integration of leave processes.
- Work closely with management to address staffing and operational challenges resulting from employee absences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in leave administration, human resources, or a related field.
- Knowledge of federal and state leave laws, including FMLA, ADA, and other relevant regulations.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficient in using HRIS and leave management systems.
