Responsibilities
- Administer employee leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, disability, parental leave, military leave, and personal leave.
- Review leave requests, determine eligibility, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Communicate clearly with employees, managers, and HR partners regarding leave status, requirements, and return-to-work expectations.
- Cook with 3rd party leave administrators and payroll teams.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee leave records in HR systems.
- Track leave balances, intermittent leave usage, and return-to-work timelines.
- Manage the interactive process for ADA accommodations in partnership with HR and legal as needed.
- Ensure timely distribution and collection of required documentation (e.g., medical certifications, approval notices).
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws.
- Provide training and guidance to managers and employees on leave processes and policies.
- Support audits, reporting, and metrics related to leave administration.
- Provide support to the HRConnect team as needed.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in leave administration, HR operations, or benefits.
- Strong knowledge of leave laws such as FMLA, ADA, USERRA, and state-specific leave requirements.
- Experience working with HRIS systems and/or leave management platforms.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
