Qualifications
- High School, GED, Cert, Trn, Exper.
- AA degree preferred
- Experience in benefits or disability management, including administering family medical leaves, workers compensation, and short and long term disability benefits
- Human Resources experience required
- Payroll experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required
- Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills required
- Knowledge and ability to work with Human Resources management systems such as Lawson, Oracle/PeopleSoft, Kronos Workforce and Central HR Systems preferred
- Bilingual, Spanish preferred
Description
The Leave and Disability Specialist position is responsible for the daily administration of Leave of Absence and Disability benefits in partnership with the Leave/Disability administration vendor to ensure compliance with applicable laws and leave/disability policies. Serves as the primary liaison between employees, leaders, and the Leave/Disability vendor with regard to leave and disability benefit processes, questions or concerns, leave of absence and disability benefit issues, and recommends solutions. Other responsibilities include preparing, reviewing, and analyzing leave/disability data reports and sharing data with key internal customers.
Pay
The estimated pay range for this position is $23.21 - $29.48 / hour depending on experience.
