The Leasing Specialist is responsible for leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations within the community. The incumbent in this role must possess a high degree of professionalism and positive engagement for our residents and the workforce.

Qualifications

• Passion for providing exceptional customer service
• 2+ years of sales and/or customer relations experience
• Low-income housing and tax credit experience is highly desired
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) highly desired
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends
• Solid computer knowledge, Windows (Word, Excel), internet, and e-mail
• Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management software

Responsibilities

The Leasing Specialist will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

• Customer Service & Sales: providing A+ customer service, greeting and qualifying prospects, demonstrating community and apartment/model, and closing sales
• Administrative tasks: accepting rental payments, typing leases, maintaining current resident files, and distributing company or community-issued notices
• Resident Retention: receiving telephone calls and in-person visits, listening to resident requests and concerns, and ensuring all maintenance repairs are handled satisfactorily
• Adherence to Property Management Rules, Regulations, and Guidelines: conducting all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, and all other laws pertaining to the apartment industry

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

The incumbent in this position is classified as essential staff and is expected to report to work and adhere to all safety and business protocols. The role requires frequent sitting and walking, repetitive use of the computer, keyboard, mouse, and phone, and may involve working in an elevated site or on uneven ground.

Pay

Compensation Range $21 - $23 USD
