About the role
The Leasing Renewal Manager is responsible for driving rent growth across our portfolio of properties and managing tenant renewals and relationships.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate lease renewals that drive rent growth, maximize asset value, and support long-term tenant retention across DLC’s shopping center portfolio.
- Analyze expiring leases, tenant performance, and lease provisions to develop and execute renewal strategies that align with portfolio objectives.
- Maintain and manage a comprehensive database of lease expiration dates, option notice requirements, and critical lease milestones.
- Partner with the Accounting team to review and reconcile tenant expense recoveries, identifying opportunities to eliminate slippage and optimize lease economics during renewal negotiations.
- Collaborate closely with the Leasing team to ensure alignment on renewal strategies, tenant positioning, and portfolio-wide leasing objectives.
- Prioritize renewal opportunities based on expiration timelines, market conditions, and strategic business goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with national and regional retailers, engaging in both renewal-related and broader portfolio discussions.
- Support strategic leasing initiatives, including acquisition due diligence, tenant interviews, vacancy and void analyses, leasing strategy development, and tenant portfolio reviews.
- Monitor market trends, retailer activity, and competitive developments to identify opportunities and inform leasing decisions.

Pay
The expected base salary range for this position is between $75,000 and $85,000 (plus variable compensation including commission and bonus). The actual compensation will be based on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, market and business considerations and other factors permitted by law.
