Leasing Professional - The Langston (Student Living)

About the role

The Langston (Student Living) is seeking a Leasing Professional to join our dynamic team. This position is located in Cleveland, Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct community tours, show apartments, process applications, credit screen, and perform criminal background checks.
• Prepare lease and move-in packages, ensure smooth move-ins, and address any outstanding items with the maintenance team.
• Stay informed about market conditions, develop and implement marketing plans, and follow policies related to concessions and special programs.
• Create and execute marketing activities, including resident referral and employer outreach programs, and use internet marketing tools.
• Track apartment availability, record leasing activities, manage resident and prospect data, and maintain show units to meet quality standards.
• Follow up with prospects and new residents, prepare lease renewal letters, and ensure timely implementation of lease renewal documents.
• Respond to resident and client inquiries, take prompt action to solve problems, and document resident or other requests.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry up to 25 pounds independently, and 50 pounds with assistance.
• Rare or regular travel may be required.
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in property management or similar field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of property management software (OneSite, Yardi, etc.) desirable.

Skills

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
