About the role
Greystar is a leading real estate platform offering property management, investment management, development, and construction services in institutional-quality rental housing. This role is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities
- Greet and qualify prospects, conduct community tours, show apartments, process applications, conduct credit screenings, and perform criminal background checks.
- Prepare lease and move-in packages, ensure smooth move-ins, and address any outstanding maintenance items with the maintenance team.
- Stay informed about market and competitor conditions, develop and implement marketing plans, and follow policies related to concessions and special programs.
- Create and execute marketing activities, including resident referral and employer outreach programs, using internet marketing tools, and following community-specific marketing plans.
- Use on-site property management software to track apartment availability, record leasing activities, manage resident data, and ensure show units meet quality standards.
- Ensure leasing office is prepared for daily activities, communicate maintenance needs to the maintenance team, and merchandise/show units.
- Follow up with prospects and new residents to ensure satisfaction, send thank-you notes, and make calls or contacts to finalize lease signings and renewals.
- Support lease renewal program by preparing renewal letters and packages, meeting with renewing residents, and ensuring timely implementation of lease renewal documents.
- Respond promptly and courteously to resident and client inquiries, take prompt action to solve problems, and document resident or other requests.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry up to 25 pounds independently, and 50 pounds with assistance.
- Rare or regular travel may be required.
- Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in property management or similar field preferred.
- Knowledge of apartment leasing processes and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
