About the Role
A full-time Leasing Professional focused on sales and customer service, guiding prospects from initial contact through lease signing while maintaining strong resident relationships.
Responsibilities
- Conduct all leasing activities in compliance with company policies, Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA, and other applicable laws.
- Maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere in the leasing office and common areas.
- Inspect models and vacant units daily to ensure cleanliness and market readiness.
- Handle incoming calls, texts, and emails—prospect inquiries, resident concerns, and service requests—escalating to management when needed.
- Greet and qualify prospects, present apartments and community features, and communicate benefits effectively.
- Monitor local market conditions and trends; contribute ideas for marketing and resident satisfaction improvements.
- Complete lease applications, verify applicant information, and notify prospects of results.
- Prepare and finalize lease paperwork, addenda, and collect initial rents and deposits.
- Prepare welcome gifts, paperwork, and keys for new residents.
- Document prospect interactions via Guest Cards, send thank-you notes, and follow up.
- Conduct property inspections, report maintenance needs, and assess move-outs and vacancies.
- Manage office supplies, organize and file reports, leases, and other documents.
- Attend company meetings and assist with daily/weekly reports, resident communications, and market surveys.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework or degree desirable.
- Prior leasing experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-service environment.
- Familiarity with computer systems, web applications, and software.
- Strong organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Proven ability to build rapport quickly and maintain relationships.
- Flexibility to work independently and as part of a team under pressure and meet deadlines.
