About the Role

The Leasing Manager provides supervision for properties and leasing specialists to ensure the occupancy of assigned rental units and their renewal rate. In alignment with Fairstead Management, the Leasing Manager ensures all leases are completed appropriately and properties meet established standards while maintaining tenant satisfaction and property safety.

Responsibilities

• Handle prospective residents to identify their housing needs and determine eligibility based on established criteria.
• Show vacant and model units and property amenities as specified by Fairstead Management.
• Conduct follow-up calls and track rental status.
• Complete applicant screening and prepare appropriate correspondence based on results.
• Prepare leases and related leasing addendums; maintain lease records and files.
• Maintain property waiting lists and update records and reports in accordance with policy and procedures.
• Adhere to affordable housing programs, HUD/Agency regulations, and NYC Rent Regulation Laws.
• Ensure accuracy of leasing data entered into property software by all leasing associates.
• Review move-in files for completion and accuracy.
• Process and inspect weekly occupancy reports and ensure traffic data is entered.
• Work with Leasing Consultants to improve leasing techniques as needed.
• Prepare an analysis of call sources for property management.
• Review leasing associate files prior to and after move-ins.
• Monitor property occupancy and strategize with the leasing team to meet goals.
• Assist with resident retention and provide ongoing customer service to residents post-move-in.
• Process work order requests and assist with day-to-day property operations to ensure resident satisfaction.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Three (3) years of experience in on-site Sales or Leasing.
• Knowledgeable in local fair housing laws.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, YARDI, and Blue Moon.
• Self-motivated with effective communication skills and personal accountability.
• Able to present information and respond to questions from management, vendors, and associates.
• Adhere to tight deadlines and quick turnaround for deliverables.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment where adaptability is imperative.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with a strong attention to detail.

Pay

Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000 USD
