About the role
We're seeking a skilled Leasing Manager to oversee apartment rentals, move-ins and move-outs, and lease renewals. This position involves marketing and direct interaction with residents to maximize occupancy and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Conducts training, facilitates meetings, and coaches leasing consultants to optimize performance.
- Leads traffic, qualifies prospective residents, leases apartments, prepares lease documentation, and processes move-in paperwork.
- Reviews and ensures lease applications have accurate information and payment has been collected before forwarding to the property manager.
- Manages marketing efforts, including developing and implementing marketing plans, coordinating advertisements, and maintaining accurate records of traffic activity.
- Coordinates move-in/out schedules with maintenance, inspects apartments, and ensures they are in move-in condition.
- Processes renewal paperwork, assists with resident activities, and manages resident issues, including neighbor disputes.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, health and safety rules, and local, state, and federal laws.
Requirements
- High school diploma with at least one year of residential leasing and/or management experience.
- Prior experience with a revenue management system, Yardi or similar property management system, and customer reputation management tools.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and handle sensitive matters.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and converse in English, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
