Lease Operator

POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES

This position monitors, maintains, and reports the operation of wells and sites on an assigned route. Most problems require consultation with supervisor to resolve. Special focus to be placed on:

• Make routine checks on all well sites according to schedule.
• Maintain production equipment including compressors, pumpjacks, plunger lift, dehydrators, meters, separators, and safety devices; perform light maintenance as necessary.
• Inspect lease sites to ensure they are clean and free of debris and overgrown vegetation.
• Manage daily fluid production; gauge and record oil and water tank levels.
• Gather and submit daily, monthly, and quarterly data in a timely manner; meet deadlines with few errors or missing information.
• Recognize and troubleshoot production-related issues; work with foreman and other personnel to resolve.
• Communicate regularly with production foreman on daily plans and issues; participate in periodic well reviews and safety meetings.
• Optimize production in a safe, cost-effective manner.
• Participate in on-call rotation schedule which includes some nights and weekends.
• Address spills, fluid leaks, and trip hazards.
• Ensure company-provided vehicle is properly maintained.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies when necessary.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of and commitment to safety procedures and regulations.
• Valid driver license.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to remain calm during emergencies and respond appropriately.
• Ability to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Able to move or traverse from one location on the job site to another.
• Able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, frequently positioning oneself to stoop, kneel, or squat.
• Able to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, and assess driving operations.
• Able to operate a 4X4 vehicle.
• Able to lift or carry 116 lbs. or more, which falls into the "heavy" category.
• Able to repetitively move or position feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, and back.
• Able to constantly operate, use, and position hands and fingers in performance of work.
• Able to work atop elevated surfaces and traverse various heights.
• Able to work in outdoor weather conditions and be exposed to varying environmental conditions, including well site conditions.
• Able to perform tasks in physically demanding environments.

Driver Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
• This position involves operating a company vehicle for work-related travel or receiving a stipend for operating a personal vehicle for company use.
• Adherence to all traffic laws and company vehicle policies is required.
• Candidates must be eligible to be insured under the company's vehicle insurance policy.
