LEARNING SUPPORT TEACHER - SS COLMAN AND JOHN NEUMANN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Responsibilities

  • Provide small-group and individualized instruction to students with learning differences, with an emphasis on literacy using the Wilson Reading System (or a similar program).
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and parents to develop and implement support plans tailored to student needs.
  • Conduct assessments to identify student learning profiles and monitor progress. Use of iReady to progress monitor students.
  • Use data to help progress monitor students and create small learning groups.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and communicate regularly with families and staff.
  • Cookordination IST meetings and serve as a key advocate for students requiring accommodations or interventions.
  • Promote an inclusive classroom environment rooted in Catholic values, where all students feel valued and supported.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
  • Valid PA Instructional Certificate in Special Education or equivalent.
  • Certification in Wilson Language Training or a similar reading program.
  • Experience in delivering targeted interventions to elementary-aged students
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
