Robert Half's Madison team is seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Assistant to support the Professional Development department for a non-profit organization located on the east side.
About the role
This individual will play a key role in helping coordinate training initiatives, managing department logistics, and ensuring a positive experience for internal and external members.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the professional development department, including calendar management, scheduling, correspondence, and meeting coordination
- Assist with the planning, preparation, and execution of training sessions, workshops, and learning events
- Maintain accurate department records, training materials, attendance logs, and reporting documents
- Serve as a point of contact for employees, trainers, and vendors, delivering a high level of professionalism and support
- Help coordinate learning resources, classroom or virtual training logistics, and follow-up communication with participants
- Support special projects and department initiatives while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- 2+ years previous administrative experience required
- Exceptional customer service experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business systems
- Ability to work “on the fly,” adapt quickly to changing priorities, and problem-solve effectively
