PURPOSE AND SCOPE

Saint Mary’s High School provides an inclusive Catholic learning environment where students are supported academically, spiritually, and personally. The Learning Resource Center provides a structured setting for students who need approved testing accommodations, academic support, quiet study space, and accountability.

GOALS OF CATHOLIC EDUCATION

• Upholds the doctrinal teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Provides opportunities for faith development of students in the classroom to prepare them for life in today’s Church and society.

• Integrates the Church's teachings throughout the curriculum.
• Participates in faith development activities provided by the school.

Specific Job Requirements/Tasks

• Supports the academic needs of students and the established expectations of Saint Mary’s High School.
• Safeguards the Learning Resource Center for testing, study support, academic intervention, or approved accommodations.
• Supports the academic progress and accountability of students.
• Maintains positive relationships with students, faculty, staff, parents, and members of the school community.
• Continuously improves support practices within the Learning Resource Center and the broader school community.

EVALUATION

The performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures developed by the Diocese of Phoenix and Saint Mary’s High School under the direction of the Principal and Director of Student Services.
