Learning Management Systems Technical Coordinator

About the role

The Clorox Company is seeking a Learning Management Systems Technical Coordinator for our Atlanta West facility, which uses automated packaging equipment to manufacture and distribute Clorox cleaning products. This role focuses on developing people, improving performance, and creating world-class learning experiences to directly impact safety, quality, operational excellence, and employee development across Production, Process, Logistics, and Maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Production, Process, Maintenance, Logistics, and Engineering to develop and sustain trainee competencies through robust training methodologies, clear learning objectives, standardized curricula, and comprehensive training plans supporting onboarding and continuous development.
• Create competency-based learning paths for cross-functional skill development.
• Resolve technical issues associated with equipment concerning mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and controls systems.
• Define and deploy learning objectives for technical training courses and design materials such as equipment manuals, job aids, e-learning modules, equipment training simulators, and visual work instructions for use within Workday Learning.
• Determine trainees' mechanical aptitude using manufacturing equipment and trainers, and measure skill levels and competencies in partnership with relevant departments.
• Identify skill gaps and develop targeted training initiatives to improve trainee performance.
• Participate in and oversee the proctoring of trainee evaluations, certifications, and recertification processes to verify effective knowledge transfer and confirm training objectives are achieved.
• Maintain training equipment, spare parts, manuals, and the training environment to ensure effective knowledge transfer related to mechanical/technical equipment drawings and activities.
• Train trainees on troubleshooting, analyzing, and repairing equipment to prevent, resolve, and eliminate process failures and equipment breakdowns.
• Train trainees on daily inspections of electric-powered forklifts and using various attachments, including slip-sheet units, double-forks, pole attachments, and clamp trucks.
• Train trainees on supporting Production by managing packaging materials, ensuring safety through reporting and correcting unsafe conditions.
• Train trainees on complex loading practices, warehouse layout, and capacity constraints.
• Train trainees on planning and prioritizing work assignments, supporting changeover and startup/shutdown processes, and overseeing raw materials.
• Lead and support continuous improvement projects.
• Train Process personnel on equipment operations, including changeover adjustments, basic maintenance, safety procedures, and troubleshooting to meet operating standards.
• Train on MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) for safe and compliant chemical handling, monitoring tank levels, preparing chemical batches, calibrating pH meters, and performing quality checks.
• Train on unloading tanks and trucks, pumping drums and totes into designated tanks, and defacing, cleaning, and preparing totes and drums for reuse or recycling.

Requirements

• Minimum: Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field, Business field, or equivalent work experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training and Development, Organizational Development, or a related Technical Field.
• Minimum: 4-6 years of related experience with technical certification or 4 years of related experience in Manufacturing, Process, Logistics, and Maintenance.
• Proven experience as a technical trainer, learning specialist, or instructional designer.
• Advanced training and presentation delivery ability, including developing and designing technical training materials.
• Preferred: 6 years in Manufacturing, Logistics, and Maintenance environments with technical certification and experience in engineering process improvement projects.
• Continuous improvement mindset and ability to adapt training strategies to evolving business needs.
• Ability to partner cross-functionally to resolve technical challenges, close capability gaps, strengthen operational readiness, and improve workforce effectiveness.
• Flexibility to meet shift hours (Mon-Fri, 8 hours) and work additional hours if business needs arise.

Skills

• Proven expert-level skills in three or more disciplines: Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Electrical, Controls Systems, and Equipment Schematics.
• Analytical skills for problem-solving, design, and process equipment improvements.
• Proven expertise in technical training.
• Advanced understanding of manufacturing/distribution processes.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance associated with OSHA, DOT standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong organizational skills, effective writing ability, and communication skills.

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $48.76.

Schedule

8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment.
