About the role
The Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated student to join the Learning and Engagement department. Reporting to the Community Engagement Coordinator, this position supports the museum's strategic plan through various initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Respond to online museum tour inquiries in a timely manner, gathering all necessary information.
- Send visit confirmation, utilizing the visit confirmation template.
- Input tour information to the museum Outlook calendar and communicate guided tours to the Docent Volunteer Coordinator.
- Manage all communications in museumtours@ou.edu email and update the Tours and Programs calendar.
- Aid Learning and Engagement members with developing supply lists, conducting research, printing, and organizing materials for programming and special events.
- Assist with set-up and breakdown for events, classes, and programs, as needed.
- Provide program support to assist with facilitation during events, programs, classes, and tours.
- Check Learn and Engage spaces and interactives at least once a week to restock materials as needed.
- Clean and sanitize shared touch materials in Learn and Engage spaces and interactive elements.
- Communicate with Interpretation Specialist when materials need to be replaced, updated, are broken, or extra stock is running low.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in a combination of two terms as a student at the University of Oklahoma.
