Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Learning & Development Intern to join our team working fully on-site at our office in Cleveland, OH. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting the overall learning and development initiatives within the organization.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate training sessions and workshops.
  • Support the Professional Development Trainer with classroom preparation.
  • Report and track employee training progress.
  • Help administer the learning management system.
  • Auxiliary in the development of e-learning courses and digital materials.
  • Auxiliary in the creation and update of training materials, including presentations and follow-up resources.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to the training department as needed.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Overall GPA requirement of 3.0 or higher.
  • Prior experience in a corporate office setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • Passion for learning and professional development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with learning management system administration is a plus.
  • Experience in eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline or Articulate Rise are a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, bend, move occasionally, and sit for an extended period throughout their scheduled working time.
  • The employee will be required to operate office equipment that requires repetitive hand movement and fine coordination, including using a computer keyboard.
  • Occasionally, the employee may be required to lift, push, carry, move, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight, and regular verbal communication to exchange information is necessary.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings, and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
