About the role
This is a hands-on content development role: the Learning Content Developer builds, publishes, and maintains engaging digital learning content within Merchant Guild's LMS, working directly with internal teams, publishers, and subject matter experts to turn game and product knowledge into interactive learning experiences at scale.
Primary Areas of Ownership
- Develop e-learning courses, self-paced modules, interactive lessons, videos, quizzes, assessments, and certification content within the LMS.
- Translate complex game and product information into clear, learner-focused content.
- Write scripts, learner guides, facilitator materials, job aids, and reference documents.
- Design learning paths tailored to distinct audiences (staff, retailers, judges, publishers).
Qualifications
- Experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or e-learning content creation, ideally within an LMS environment.
- Familiarity with the tabletop/TCG industry required — understanding of how publishers, retailers, judges, and organized play function (e.g., certification structures, demo/product education norms, event operations) is essential to translating SME knowledge accurately.
- Strong writing skills across formats: scripts, job aids, facilitator guides, assessments.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with publishers and internal SMEs who may not have instructional design backgrounds.
