Learning Architect
About the role
The Learning Architect is a high-impact role within SweetRush’s Client Solutions department. This is a proposal strategy and master storytelling role responsible for crafting winning, tailored proposals across various formats.
Responsibilities
Take End-to-End Ownership of Proposals: Responsible for the overall flow, writing, and tailoring of proposals from first draft to final delivery—ensuring every submission is cohesive, client-specific, and compelling.
Write with a Marketing Mindset: Craft proposals that go beyond information delivery. Use storytelling, hooks, and creative framing to capture attention and make SweetRush’s solutions memorable. This is not technical writing—it’s persuasive, human-centered communication.
Tailor Writing to the Audience: Research and understand each client’s request, brand, and context to customize content and tone. Every proposal should feel as if it is written specifically for that client.
Tell the Learner’s Story: Dream up learner journeys and “day in the life” narratives that bring the proposed solution to life. Help clients visualize what the experience will feel like for their people.
Partner with Art Direction: Work closely with Art Directors to create proposals that blend words and visuals in a way that is intentional, memorable, and emotionally resonant.
Know and Grow the Portfolio: Develop a deep understanding of SweetRush’s past work, case studies, and project examples to strategically showcase relevant successes—and contribute new case study writing to strengthen the library over time.
Partner on Solution Design: Support Solution Architects to define the project scope and create innovative, feasible solutions, applying instructional design expertise throughout the process.
Design Learning Solutions: In collaboration with Solution Architects, propose creative solutions, including eLearning, instructor-led training, performance support, gamification, AI-powered tools, and immersive experiences (VR/AR) based on client needs and constraints.
Lead Internal Brainstorming: Drive internal discussions about how to bring a solution to life—from captivating themes and scenario-based learning to live experiential activities, custom interactions, and immersive experiences. Dream big, then show what that looks like.
Define Mocks and Visuals: Conceptualize what mocks and visuals should convey, and contribute copy or concept direction when client content is not available, which makes the proposal tangible and compelling.
RFP Response & Detail Management: Own RFP Compliance; thoroughly read and interpret RFP documents to identify ambiguities or missing information, and participate in drafting clarifying questions to submit to the client. Track down information; maintain accuracy and consistency throughout all proposal documentation, ensuring formatting, links, and submission requirements meet client specifications.
Client & Team Collaboration: Support Client-Facing Moments; collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Account Managers, Creative Directors, Project Managers, and the Solutions Coordinator to ensure proposals are integrated and complete. Support Project Handoff; onboard project production teams to the client context, business objectives, and proposed solution when a deal is won.
