About the role

The Learning Architect (LA) serves as a key member of the Noodle team, guiding university partners through the development and implementation of educational programs. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, driving continuous improvement, and fostering strong relationships with university partners.

Responsibilities

  • Guide university in making program and course decisions that drive 100% retention and graduation
  • Collaborate with university stakeholders as a thought-partner, sharing best practices and new innovations
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Deans and Program Directors, facilitating program design conversations and navigating faculty challenges
  • Partner with Noodle’s build, maintenance, and term prep teams to ensure successful course builds and refreshes
  • Maintain continuous improvement processes for programs, using data to enhance the learning experience
  • Onboard and support new faculty teaching online
  • Collaborate with Student Support and Engagement team to incorporate student feedback into course design
  • Occasionally support sales and consultation initiatives to acquire new partnerships

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience, including instructional design, teaching, or learning roles, preferably in a higher education setting
  • A master’s degree (preferred), or equivalent experience in higher education
  • The ability and willingness to travel periodically, as required, to university partners
  • Exceptional communication skills, expertise in learning and program design, and fluency in university culture
  • Experience in the higher education industry and online learning with US schools, including experience teaching and/or managing faculty
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory, learning science, and principles of effective online pedagogy
  • Excellent workshop facilitation skills, and ability to establish rapport with faculty groups quickly
  • Familiarity with research about student retention and its application to creating high graduation rates
  • A desire to learn and advance professionally

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (preferred)
  • Expertise in curricular and pedagogical needs and innovations
  • “Product owner” mindset and willingness to delve deep into specifics of a program while retaining sight of its broader context
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory, learning science, and principles of effective online pedagogy
  • Familiarity with research about student retention and its application to creating high graduation rates
  • A desire to learn and advance professionally

Pay

Noodle offers competitive compensation packages tailored to individual qualifications and experience. Salary ranges are determined based on market data and company policy.

Schedule

This role requires occasional travel to partner institutions across the United States. The schedule is designed to align with the needs of our university counterparts, primarily in Eastern and Central time zones.
