Position Summary
Wesley Life is seeking an experienced Learning and Development Specialist. This role is critical in strengthening WesleyLife’s learning infrastructure. This position will focus on managing the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring compliance with regulatory training standards, and streamlining core learning processes such as onboarding and orientation. This role will also support the design and delivery of engaging learning experiences—both clinical and non-clinical—that foster continuous learning, strong leadership, and team member engagement.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
- Facilitate new employee orientation; maintain and improve onboarding materials and processes to strengthen program consistency and new hire retention.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access; upload and organize training content; troubleshoot technical issues and provide user support and training.
- Maintain accurate training records, documentation, and reports to meet state and federal requirements; maintain training records related to grants and submit grant reimbursement applications.
- Cook up training schedules, communications, registrations, and attendance tracking across WesleyLife communities and service lines.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to design, deliver, and continuously improve training programs (in-person, virtual, and blended) for both clinical and non-clinical audiences.
- Track participation, evaluate effectiveness, and provide insights to improve outcomes.
- Create and maintain training manuals, guides, and standard operating procedures.
- Partner with leaders across the organization to align learning initiatives with operational needs, cultural goals, and strategic priorities.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field, with 3–5 years’ relevant experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with LMS administration (Relias strongly preferred) and technology-enabled learning tools
- Experience in compliance-driven or regulated environments (healthcare or nonprofit preferred)
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to explain complex information clearly
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills; able to identify issues and propose workable solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint, Teams)
- Collaboration skills and the ability to build trust with cross-functional teams
