QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree with a major in Education, Communications or Organizational Development highly preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years prior experience (preferably in the financial services industry) in establishing L&D needs and following through with the design, development, delivery, and program effectiveness evaluations preferred.
Strong project management, organizational development and strategic planning skills;
Proven effective verbal and written communication, facilitation, organizational and interpersonal skills;
The ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment;
Strong teamwork and relationship building skills and flexibility in working hours.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Collaborates in the assessment, design, development and delivery of enterprise-wide L&D programs and offerings in coordination with the L&D Manager.
  • Works with business partners to proactively identify and make improvements to L&D processes, programs, policies and procedures.
  • Develops and organizes training aids and references, eLearning resources (in conjunction with the Senior eLearning Content Developer), and other educational materials.
  • Independently assess trainees during classroom performance by conducting skills analyses.
  • Identify individual strengths and opportunities for improvement.
  • Identify and recommend solutions to address skill deficiencies.
  • Manage training calendar to deliver standard class schedules to meet the needs of the company.
  • Partner with L&D Manager and applicable management to accommodate non-scheduled training sessions.
  • Possess the ability to speak comfortably in front of a group. Project a professional and positive attitude while conducting L&D business, both inside and outside of the classroom.
  • Display effective and efficient classroom management skills when handling participant situations.
  • Coordinate specific work tasks with personnel from applicable departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information; report pertinent information to immediate supervisor; compile information as necessary or directed and provide data to appropriate Bank personnel; respond to inquiries relating to the particular area and requests from clients, other Bank personnel, etc., within given time frames and established policy.
  • Work with business partners to develop class schedules and/or onboarding learning plans for new hires. Assist in the delivery of L&D specific content during New Hire Orientation.
  • Evaluate existing learning solutions for efficiency, effectiveness, and/or for potential leverage and broader usage. Identify and implement program improvements, tools and technology to enhance processes for learning execution.
  • Utilize the various components of the current learning management system (LMS) system. Skills include, but are not limited to, updating user information, creating/publishing online courses and monitoring course content and approvals.
  • Possess the ability to create and/or update eLearning content utilizing development software including Articulate as well as others in conjunction with the Senior eLearning Content Developer.
  • Attend regularly scheduled coaching and counseling sessions held by the L&D Manager to achieve the outcome of improved communication, action plan development, positive feedback and performance improvement.
  • Abside by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment that is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place; support risk management practices and overall safety and soundness and the Bank’s compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that the department and all personnel adhere to the same; perform tasks that are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job which may be altered or redesigned depending on individual circumstances.
