Principle Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive Lean Manufacturing (SYNCHRO) strategies across all production areas, aligning with organizational goals and priorities.
- Plan, lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve productivity, optimize cycle times, and enhance product quality.
- Oversee end-to-end production processes, identifying opportunities for improvement in workflows, layouts, material flow, and resource utilization.
- Manage and coordinate SYNCHRO workshops (Kaizen events), ensuring effective execution and sustainable results.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, providing direction, coaching, and support to ensure successful implementation of improvement initiatives.
- Develop project plans, define goals, track progress, and provide regular status updates and reports to leadership.
- Ensure alignment of SYNCHRO activities with TRUMPF group standards, methodologies, best practices and objectives.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by training and mentoring employees in Lean principles and SYNCHRO methodologies.
- Monitor and sustain improvements by establishing KPIs, tracking performance metrics, and ensuring accountability.
- Cook up all Lean Manufacturing (SYNCHRO) activities with headquarters to ensure TUS is in alignment with Group methods and objectives.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 -7 years experience in related position (Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement roles).
- Expertise in Toyota Production System, lean manufacturing principles / techniques required.
- Six Sigma black belt level knowledge also a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple large scale projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Must demonstrate an ability to encourage cooperation and teamwork from other departments.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field required.
- Master’s degree (MBA or Engineering) or Lean/Six Sigma certification is a plus.
