Job Summary
Embraer Aircraft Maintenance Services seeks a Lean Specialist to lead continuous improvement initiatives and enhance operational efficiency.Responsibilities
- Lead Lean initiatives: Develop and implement Lean methodologies and tools to drive continuous improvement across various departments and processes within the MRO organization.
- Process analysis and improvement: Identify inefficiencies and areas of waste in operations, maintenance, and repair processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions to optimize productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality.
- Value stream mapping: Conduct value stream mapping to visualize and analyze end-to-end processes, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements to achieve operational excellence.
- Leverage data analysis: Collect and analyze data to measure process performance, identify trends, and track key performance indicators (KPIs). Use data-driven insights to make informed recommendations for process improvements.
- Change management: Act as a change agent by facilitating and leading change initiatives, ensuring buy-in from stakeholders, and managing resistance to change. Promote a positive and collaborative work environment conducive to Lean practices.
- Project management: Lead and participate in Lean projects, ensuring timely execution and successful implementation of Lean solutions. Collaborate with project teams to achieve project objectives and deliver tangible results.
- Collaboration and communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, engineering, operations, and quality, to identify opportunities for collaboration and process optimization. Effectively communicate Lean concepts, progress, and results to stakeholders and management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in aviation management, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Lean methodologies, such as Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work, and Continuous Improvement.
- Prior experience implementing Lean principles in an MRO aviation industry or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of successfully leading Lean projects and achieving measurable results.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong change management skills, with the ability to drive and manage change initiatives.
- Knowledge of aviation regulations, standards, and safety practices is a plus.
- Achieved Lean Six Sigma certification is highly desirable.
