Lean Engineer
Key Responsibilities
Using the tools of Lean manufacturing and 6 Sigma (Lean Six Sigma) (VSM, SMED, Kaizen, DMAIC, PDCA, etc.), the key responsibilities of this position include project work, along with educating, promoting, and mentoring continuous improvement across the site.
The Lean Six Sigma Engineer aims to optimize any process or operation, which seeks to minimize or eliminate the activities of non-value add, better known as waste. The focus is to facilitate kaizen (change activities), contribute to the site’s JOS Improvement Committees (QIC, TIC, MIC), and lead and support high-impact value stream improvement plans and projects.
- Propose and implement process improvements that impact positively on the site's operational performance
- Identify opportunities for reducing costs and improving productivity while coordinating the implementation of these improvements
- Cookordinate the development of VSM's, Kaizen workshops, time-based standard work as requested
- Cookordinate the site’s Lean Council
- Advance the site’s Lean capability and maturity (Jabil Lean KPIs)
- Contribute to the site’s progress with Jabil Maturity Assessment (JMA)
- Serve as a key member of the site’s JOS TIC; lead the OEE and OLE KPIs
- Collaborate with Workcell Managers to develop and sustain the JOS management system
- Collaborate with the Operations people-leaders to sustain 6S & Eureka (employee suggestion program)
- Plan and Facilitate Kaizen events and lead LSS/CI projects as assigned
- Coach & Mentor employees to achieve their Bronze or Green Belt Certification objectives
- Apply, educate, promote, and spread culture in the use of lean manufacturing and six sigma tools
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Qualifications And Knowledge Requirements
JOS, 4 Quadrant, PDCA, VSM, A3 Practical Problem Solving
Jabil Lean Bronze Certified (or plans to achieve certification)
Persuasive and assertive communication skills
Project Planning, Project Management, Change Management

Pay Range For This Role
$79,400 - $142,900
