Branch Engineer

Job Summary

The Branch Engineer supports all areas of engineering with a focus on project engineering, involving engineering expertise, project coordination, and hands-on support.

Description

• Develop crane layouts and rigging drawings for lift plans using Barnhart's tools.
• Create layout drawings for heavy machinery moving projects.
• Create drawings for heavy transportation projects.
• Use engineering software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Mathcad, RISA, and Barnhart calculation spreadsheets.
• Aid Sales Personnel in job assessments, creating equipment lists, identifying issues, and producing technical sketches.
• Provide technical support to Project Managers and Superintendents.
• Design custom lifting or support tools for job-specific needs.
• Function as a field technical liaison for complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Basic experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).
• Problem-solving and analytical expertise.
• Mathematical skills.
• Strong communication skills.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field from an ABET accredited 4-year university with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
