Leak Survey Technician

At Storti, we're a pioneering force reshaping leak detection in natural gas pipelines. As a Leak Survey Technician, you'll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to safeguarding communities and the environment using cutting-edge technology and hands-on problem-solving.

Compensation starts at $21/hr. A company vehicle is provided.

Responsibilities

• Detect, assess, and report gas leaks in natural gas pipelines to ensure community safety.
• Use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools to create visualizations from raw data, leveraging coordinate systems and projections.
• Provide technical support to clients, guiding them through advanced FlowGIS and Esri software.
• Transform daily progress into insightful reports and compelling data narratives.
• Collaborate with clients and team members to deliver actionable insights.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ESRI, and related software.
• Strong understanding of spatial data, coordinate systems, projections, and datums.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for conveying complex data clearly.
• Meticulous attention to detail and precision in all tasks.
• Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently on projects.
• Strong relational skills to build rapport with colleagues, clients, and technology.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geospatial Information Systems, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
• Prior experience in leak surveys, construction, or compiling client reports is advantageous.
• In-person client interaction experience is a bonus.
