LEADERSHIP ACADEMY INTERN
Position Summary
The Ministry Site Director is responsible for spiritual and organizational leadership, working with and through other people, and strong communication skills. They must embody YFC's Cultural Attributes and implement relational ministry actions.
About the Role
Embraces the vision, mission, and Statement of Faith of YFC. Participates in YFC’s Blueprint for Leadership and understands YFC’s 5 Essentials. Self-motivated, with strong moral character and good repute. Connects well with youth and demonstrates empathy, humility, and care for all people.
Essential Functions
Ministry Team Development (60%)
- Recruit, train, and maintain volunteer ministry leader team
- Create strong connections between local churches and the ministry site
- Develop training materials and ministry site standards
- Establish healthy 3 Story teams for each ministry site
- Ensure healthy and growing ministry at all sites
- Advocate for young people in the community
- Report progress and ministry updates to YFC
Relational Ministry Action Development (30%)
- Manage, facilitate, and serve in the Relational Ministry Actions (RMAs)
- Establish and develop programming materials
- Train and evaluate ministry site leaders in the implementation of curriculum materials
Spiritual Responsibilities
- Seek God’s guidance and wisdom through prayer and meditation
- Lead regular times of prayer, devotion, and worship
- Teach and preach from the Holy Bible at YFC staff meetings, conferences, camps, and events
- Model empathy, humility, and care for all people, including promoting equity and inclusion
Knowledge & Skills
- Embraces YFC’s vision, mission, and Statement of Faith
- Participates in YFC’s Blueprint for Leadership
- Understands YFC’s 5 Essentials and leads through this model
- Self-motivated, with strong moral character and good repute
- Connects well with youth and well-spoken in front of youth and adults
- Manages a team of diverse volunteers
- Honors and pursues diversity of gifts, cultures, and ethnicities
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Perseveres through opposition and obstacles

Position Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience: Three years of ministry experience
Fundraising Responsibilities
- All YFC employees are expected to participate in fund-raising activities.
