Responsibilities

  • Organize and monitor workflow within the production area.
  • Lead and manage teams in respective areas of responsibility.
  • Execute all tasks related to manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure manufacturing compliance with Kemin’s standards, including SOPs, GMPs, ISO, and other operational procedures.
  • Make routine decisions about production flow with guidance from the Production Supervisor.
  • Support and reinforce training on work practices, safety, and proper use of PPE for all production employees.
  • Monitor all stages of the production process to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Define processing variables and observe control points and equipment.
  • Monitor personnel and resources to ensure optimal performance.
  • Facilitate corrections for malfunctions in control points and processes.
  • Maintain safety and quality standards by enforcing organizational policies.
  • Keep the work environment clean and safe through education and guidance on control points, safety equipment, and resource use.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Maintain working relationships with all departments to drive continuous plant improvements.
  • Contribute to team efforts to achieve related results as needed.
  • Communicate and reinforce organizational policies across the team.
  • Conduct periodic meetings with the team to provide feedback on results and discuss action plans.
  • Resolve basic issues related to equipment, processes, and maintenance.
  • Substitute for the Production Supervisor during absences or vacations.
  • Report to the Production Supervisor on cleaning and sanitation programs as part of the company’s quality efforts to maintain a high-performance manufacturing facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma completed.
  • Desirable: ongoing or completed higher education in Production, Administration, or Logistics.
  • Postgraduate degree in Quality, Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Processes, Maintenance, or related fields is a plus.
  • Basic proficiency in Spanish and English; advanced level is desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with quality programs such as GMP and 5S.
  • Ability to read and follow process flowcharts and SOPs.
  • Experience operating equipment and forklifts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Integrity, flexibility, creativity, organization, and discipline.
