About the role

Liverpool Cathedral is looking for a dedicated individual to join their team as a Cathedral Assistant. The role involves assisting with various administrative tasks, supporting the clergy, and contributing to the overall maintenance and upkeep of the cathedral.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day operations of the cathedral, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and managing visitor flow.
• Support the clergy in their pastoral care responsibilities, including arranging meetings and events.
• Maintain the cleanliness and order of the cathedral, including cleaning and organizing the premises.
• Help with the preparation and distribution of materials for services and events.
• Contribute to the fundraising efforts of the cathedral, assisting with events and communications.

Requirements

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Flexible working hours to accommodate the needs of the cathedral.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a passion for the cathedral and its community, and a commitment to providing excellent service. No formal qualifications are required, but candidates should demonstrate relevant experience or a willingness to learn.
