Leader, Machining Department - Night Shift

About the role

This is more than a machining or supervisory position—it's an opportunity to lead by example, mentor talented machinists, and help produce complex tooling that powers the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead night shift machining operations for large die components used in progressive, transfer, forming, and stamping dies.
• Review and optimize WorkNC CAM programs while supporting precision CNC machining from roughing through finish work.
• Partner with tool designers, engineers, and programmers to ensure components are manufactured accurately and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot machining challenges, improve processes, and maintain the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
• Coach and support machinists on the floor, balancing technical expertise with day-to-day leadership to keep work moving safely and on schedule.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in tool & die machining.
• Strong experience machining large die components and structural tool steel parts.
• Advanced CNC programming and CAM knowledge, with WorkNC experience preferred.
• Proven ability to hold tight tolerances and solve complex machining challenges.
• A collaborative, hands-on leadership style and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications
