Principal Duties And Responsibilities

  • Inform division/department leadership of any incidents, problems or emergencies that occur in the division
  • Respond to the radiologists and/or staff physicians regarding quality of patient care issues and relay information to the division/department leadership as appropriate
  • Ensure compliance and enforcement of HFHS Vendor Compliance policy and procedure
  • Auxiliary in the training of new personnel and/or student who are assigned to the division
  • Ensure adequate supplies are in the division and properly stored
  • Auxiliary in the preparation of employee schedules, ordering of supplies, reporting equipment malfunctions, and other related functions of the division as directed by the division/department leadership
  • Support Film Center functions such as: re filming, request folders, follow-up on missing/unread cases etc.
  • Maintain records; keep logs and other documentation as needed
  • Participate in meetings, educational programs, etc. as necessary
  • Complete all necessary work sheets, patient records and documentation
  • Process images and related functions as needed

Education/Experience Required

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) with the advanced registry in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CI); Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI), or Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CV)
  • Must maintain a Healthcare Provider Certification (BCLS)
  • Minimum of 3 years of IR Technologist experience required
  • Maintain required hours of continued medical education
  • Demonstrated ability to work with detailed information
