Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Inform division/department leadership of any incidents, problems or emergencies that occur in the division
- Respond to the radiologists and/or staff physicians regarding quality of patient care issues and relay information to the division/department leadership as appropriate
- Ensure compliance and enforcement of HFHS Vendor Compliance policy and procedure
- Auxiliary in the training of new personnel and/or student who are assigned to the division
- Ensure adequate supplies are in the division and properly stored
- Auxiliary in the preparation of employee schedules, ordering of supplies, reporting equipment malfunctions, and other related functions of the division as directed by the division/department leadership
- Support Film Center functions such as: re filming, request folders, follow-up on missing/unread cases etc.
- Maintain records; keep logs and other documentation as needed
- Participate in meetings, educational programs, etc. as necessary
- Complete all necessary work sheets, patient records and documentation
- Process images and related functions as needed
Education/Experience Required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) with the advanced registry in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CI); Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI), or Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CV)
- Must maintain a Healthcare Provider Certification (BCLS)
- Minimum of 3 years of IR Technologist experience required
- Maintain required hours of continued medical education
- Demonstrated ability to work with detailed information
