About the role
We are seeking a strategic, values-driven benefits leader who brings both analytical rigor and a service-oriented mindset to the design, delivery, and evolution of our healthcare and retirement programs. This is not a role for an administrator; it is for a strategic leader and a relentless "doer" who thrives on human connection, simplifies the complex, and acts as a compassionate advocate for our people during the moments that matter most.
Responsibilities
- Drive the end-to-end design, governance, and flawless execution of our domestic healthcare and wellness programs, ensuring they deliver undeniable, life-enriching value to every tier of our workforce.
- Lead the human-centered delivery of critical milestones—including annual Open Enrollment, new hire journeys, and foundational benefits education—translating dense plan mechanics into simple, real-life scenarios that inspire team member adoption.
- Partner intimately with our Health & Wellness and vendor teams to proactively guide high-cost claimant management and overall optimization of the benefit programs.
- Personally anchor and resolve complex associate and leadership inquiries with promptness, absolute empathy, and courteous finality, establishing a trusted space for dual-language dialogue.
- Demonstrate capability in benefits data analytics (claims utilization, ROI tracking, cost modeling) and HRIS / benefits administration platforms (e.g., Oracle HCM, UKG, Bswift).
- Lead and drive elite performance from third-party brokers, PBMs, and TPAs, leveraging outcome-driven Performance Guarantees (PGs) to maximize fiscal health and lower clinical severity without ever compromising member care.
- Enhance our global benefits governance approach.
- Safeguard our workforce and brand by maintaining continuous compliance oversight, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA/PFL, and California-specific regulations (e.g., San Francisco Health Care Security Ordinance - HCSO, state disability/paid family leave, pay/benefits transparency laws).
Requirements
- 5+ years leading domestic and international benefits programs (ideally spanning corporate and hourly/retail populations).
- CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) or SHRM-SCP / SPHR preferred.
- International experience strongly preferred.
- Experience working with outside consultants and vendor partners and leading key projects.
- Strong financial, analytical, and quantitative skills; ability to articulate a story with data and the organization of the output for key findings.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Ability to train and articulate programs in a simplistic manner.
- Excellent command of Excel, Canva, Google Suite, benefit administration platforms, and Oracle.
- Natural curiosity and a desire to review best practices in Rewards and Wellness.
